Havana Club Anejo Especial is a double aged gold colored rum, which has been aged in young white oak barrels to make a perfect rum with a unique taste with notes of vanilla and caramel and a hint of woodiness from the barrels. Serve it with cola, ice, a few drops of lime juice and garnish with a slice of lemon.
Havana Club is a leading Cuban rum brand in the world. It was founded in Cuba in 1934 and is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government. The rum is based on cane sugar and only the best fresh molasses is selected for distillation. The distillate is aged in different casks to add its characteristic color, aroma and complexity to the spirit. The aged white oak opens the flavors of the rum, while the younger barrels impart tannic properties. The expert Maestro Roneros (Master rum makers) checks each barrel and selects the ones ready for blending to create the best Cuban rum.
